1. Hire the Right People the first time

Hiring the right people is the first step to building a strong and durable team as the face of your company. 

If there are multiple interviewers then let someone else ask the hard and technical questions and focus your time on getting to know the potential employee as a person. Can they learn and fit into your culture? Will you enjoy having coffee, lunch, dinner with the person or does something feel forced? Will you help them achieve their life goals as much as you need them to accomplish yours?

If the employee is younger and commands a lower salary will you mentor and help them grow? Sometimes too much experience and high salary expectations can lead to missed expectations. You need to take this into account with every hire. 

2. Foster Open Communication

Open communication and transparency is key to a successful team. Encourage team members to share their ideas, feedback, and concerns without necessarily formal channels. This creates a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and ideas and issues can be addressed rapidly.
